Microsoft Server 2019: Create a Domain Controller and join the Domain

Part 1: Create Domain Controller and join Domain

This video will show how to setup a domain controller in Microsoft Server 2019 and then join the domain using a Windows 10 client. This is demonstrated in VMware, but it will work natively on Windows 10 and Server 2019 as well.

  • A Windows 10 client must be installed beforehand
  • A Server 2019 machine should also be installed beforehand

Part 2: Setup DNS and DHCP for Microsoft Server 2019

This part requires you to complete part one. Make sure the domain controller and active directory have been fully configured. PC1 also needs to be part of Active Directory and joined the domain. This video will demonstrate how to configure DNS and then set up DHCP on the domain controller.
